A home in the Bay Area’s northern San Francisco Bay Area was destroyed by a wildfire on Saturday.
The fire started near the intersection of Alcatraz Island and East Palo Alto Road in Oakland.
The flames jumped the freeway onto the island.
The blaze is 20 percent contained and is expected to burn through the day, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The San Francisco Fire Department says the cause is under investigation.

A number of homes were damaged by the fire, including a house that was completely destroyed.
The Oakland Tribune reported that a tree had toppled onto a house in the community of West Oakland.
