The average homeowner in California is going to need more than 2,500 fire extinguishing devices to fight the next major fire, according to a new study.
The California Fire Protection Agency (CFPAA) released a report on Wednesday that showed the state’s fire service will need nearly 8 million fire extinguishers over the next two decades.
The CFPAA report shows the average home in California will need about 6,000 fire extinguiser types in the next 20 years.
The CFPAAA estimated that an average household in California would need about 1,600 fire extinguisers.
The agency also said that California residents who need fire extinguishment equipment should expect to pay an average of $1,400 per year.
