There are now almost 100,000 new fire extinguishing devices in use in England, according to the Fire and Rescue Service.
The service said on Tuesday that more than 1.2 million of the devices had been put in use since September 2015.
A total of 5,813 were installed in England during that time, with 3,723 of them installed between September 2015 and February 2019.
This is the first time that the number of fire extinguishments has risen to over 100,0000, with the latest figure coming in February 2018.
Fire appliances were also used to tackle the blaze at the London Eye last month, which led to the death of one man.
