APW fire extinguishers are ready to be used by fire brigades across the country, with a government directive on Wednesday allowing the purchase of at least one per household.
The APW grenade, which is designed to be placed in the fire extinguishing kit and triggered with a simple push, is the latest in a long line of innovations to make India a more fire-friendly country, a government official said.APWs are designed to provide quick and quick-acting fire extinguishment.
A typical APW is about the size of a small beer can, with the device attached to a small, metal ring that fires a stream of liquid from the ring.
The APW, which has a range of sizes, is manufactured in China and comes in two versions.
The first, a “fire extinguishing device” is equipped with a rubber band that attaches to a fire extinguishable object.
A smaller APW can be fitted with a lighter, lighter cord, and a cord connected to the fire-extinguishing ring is attached to the device.
The second version is an “apw extinguisher” that can be attached to any fire extinguishable object, and fires a large stream of water that is sprayed down on the extinguishing object.
Both types of APW are manufactured in India.
